My first trip to the hospital - 11/16/06

So, I fell down at school and bit under my lip pretty hard. I wouldn't let my teachers look at it (though I gladly accepted a popsicle) so they called Mommy, who drove down and decided to take me to the emergency room (no one could tell if I had bitten all the way through my lip). I behaved really really well in the waiting room for the first half hour, but then started getting annoyed. They finally let Mommy and me into the emergency room and they let me play on a hospital bed.

Here I am playing "up-down" on the hospital bed.

This hospital thing isn't so bad!

I spoke too soon! The doctor told us that even though I didn't bite through the skin, the cut on the outside was wide enough that it needed to be closed. Luckily they could do it with special glue instead of stitches. Unlucky for me, they had to wrap me up like a burrito to do it. An orderly held me down while a nurse held my head and the doctor did his thing. When he was done applying the glue I yelled "ALL DONE!" but they had to let it dry so I was still pretty upset. I still managed to say "gobble gobble" when Mommy asked me what a turkey says, however.

The bite/cut is underneath the white part. The rest is discolored because of the glue.

That hospital wasn't SO bad, was it Mommy?
Mommy says, "Nope, and I'm sure we'll be going back there for something else soon enough."
