Every Friday one boy and one girl from Ethan's class are Shabbat Abba ("Father") and Shabbat Ema ("Mother").
For Ethan's first time being Abba he was paired up with Brooklyn. Excellent, considering they are great friends.

The Abba and Ema get to wear crowns and sit in the special chairs in front of the bima for the school's Shabbat.

They also get to choose the Shabbat songs to sing.
